The Weston Creek Veterinary Hospital was the first veterinary practice to be permanently established in Weston Creek, Canberra.  The doors opened in October 1973, offering veterinary care for small and large animals.

Working from a converted garage under their home in Waramaga, Dr Randall Lemin and his wife Majorie nurtured the practice from these humble beginnings to a practice employing 3 veterinarians and 5 support staff in 1992.  As suburbia encroached into rural areas, the decision was made to restrict veterinary services to the animal companion sector and to move to a purpose built veterinary hospital.

Easter 1992 saw the practice move to the new hospital at 200 Badimara Street, Waramanga.  The business continued to grow and by 2003 the hospital employed 3 full time and 2 part time veterinarians, 3 receptionists,  4 nurses , 5 cattery attendants and a practice administrator.  In July 2003 Randall and Majorie Lemin passed the reins of the onto the new owners and retired.

Drs Doris Beck, Richard and Meredith Phillips took over the hospital after collectively working some 15 years in the practice.  Since then the hospital has continued to strive to maintain and better the high standards of care its clients had become accustomed to under the stewardship of the Lemins.  In September 2005 the hospital held its first Open Day, to show case the hospital and the level of service it provides.
